About Our Paving Work

Asphalt Paving Beaumont paves and maintains asphalt for homes, churches and businesses in Beaumont, Port Arthur, Orange and the towns between them. Our work covers new driveways, parking lots, seal coating, patching, crack sealing and line striping.

Southeast Texas is hard on pavement. Beaumont gets about 65 inches of rain a year, sits only around 16 feet above sea level, and is built on the clay of the Beaumont Formation, a soil layer named for the city itself. Clay that holds water and ground with almost no fall make drainage the deciding factor in how long asphalt lasts. We plan every job around where the water will go.

Beaumont also has clear rules for the part of a driveway in the public right-of-way: a permit, a culvert grade set by the city survey crew, and inspections through 311. Outside the city, Jefferson, Orange and Hardin counties and the smaller cities each handle that strip their own way. We find out which rules apply to your address before the work is scheduled.

Our approach

• We look at drainage, the ditch or curb, the culvert and the base before talking about asphalt
• Every quote lists tear-out, base, asphalt thickness, edges and extras separately
• We recommend repair, overlay or replacement based on what the base can carry
• We pave on a dry base and seal in dry weather, and reschedule rather than cut corners
• Changes in scope are written down and approved before we do them
